Our Infusion Center is staffed by a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals who specialize in administering a wide range of infusion therapies. The Swing Bed program at Hale County Hospital provides a short-term rehabilitation stay of up to 21 days, designed to help patients regain strength and independence after a recent hospitalization. It is intended for patients who are well enough to leave an acute care setting but are not yet ready to return home.
Patients who begin their care at Hale County Hospital can transition seamlessly from acute care to skilled nursing care without needing to relocate, making recovery more convenient and less stressful for both patients and their families.
Our Swing Bed services are also beneficial for patients transferring from larger medical centers in Tuscaloosa or Birmingham, allowing them to continue their recovery closer to home and loved ones.
This program may be appropriate for individuals who need:
- Long-term IV antibiotics
- Wound care
- Rehabilitation after surgery
- Physical therapy following a stroke, accident, or injury
